Why Brompton
Portable, foldable, unstoppable.
We create urban freedom for happier lives. That has meant the same thing since 1975: a bike small enough to come inside with you, built well enough to be the last one you buy.

Made in London
Three hundred people, one factory.
Engineers, brazers, wheel-builders and painters across London and Sheffield. Not a brand with a factory somewhere; a factory with a brand.
- Brazed by hand
- Steel frames are brazed, not welded, by people who train for 18 months before a frame of theirs leaves the factory in Greenford.
- Signed by the maker
- Every frame carries the mark of the person who brazed it. Turn one over and you will find it.
- Titanium from Sheffield
- P Line and T Line titanium parts are TIG-welded 300 km north, in Sheffield.
- Over 1,200 pieces
- Each bike is assembled from more than 1,200 individual parts, so each one can be repaired for decades.
